Clinical Supervision

Guidance and Support for Mental Health Professionals

What is Clinical Supervision?

Clinical supervision is a formal agreement where a clinical supervisor engages with a supervisee to discuss the direction of therapy and the therapeutic relationship. It promotes the professional growth of the supervisee, enhances the supervisee’s safe and effective use of self in the therapeutic relationship, and safeguards the well-being of the client.

Sol Fried is a certified Canadian Clinical Supervisor (CCS) under the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). He offers supervision in various formats to students and psychotherapists seeking registration with professional bodies such as CRPO, BCACC, and NSCCT, or those pursuing CCC status with the CCPA.
